Awesome chinese food, tons of noodle options. Food travels pretty well so good to take home. Favorite dishes - spicy beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, sesame noodles, shanxhi noodles, spicy chili dumplings, hot chili noodles (these are spicy!). Good dishes - the pork/mushroom burger and the chilled szechuan noodles. Both noodle types we tried (egg and wavy noodles) were awesome

Honestly went in with low expectations because it was a tiny spot by UMD but was pleasantly surprised by big flavors! Everything was delicious and not your usual Chinese restaurant. The place was packed on a week night. Decor is also fun to check out while you wait for food. Highly recommend!

When it's freezing temps hot and spicy food is just the trick to warm you up from the inside out. We popped in for a quick lunch and can confirm service was quick and efficient. I got the lamb skewer and a spicy shredded beef chinese burger alongside a rose lychee refresher. The lamb skewer was crispy and dusted with a red spice which did have a kick, but in addition I doused it with the chili oil available at each table. That was spicy on another level but it hit the spot and luckily the rose lychee drink was cold and sweet and helped dampen the heat level. I also enjoyed my beef burger which was not too spicy. My bf enjoyed the tofu daikon burger he got but he was not a fan of the sliced potato burger. The potato slices are served cold and he did not like the sauce/seasoning on that burger though he did say the taste improved when he doused it with that chili oil sauce. All in all would eat here again if in the area. Very affordable and good food. I even bought a jar of the chili oil to take home.

Northwest is known for its amazing noodle dishes. I've only tried the beef noodle soup which I consistently get because of how warm and gooey it makes me feel inside. Yummy and spicy bowl of rich beef broth with wide cut noodles and beef chunks. Perfect for a cold day, love this place. Can't speak on the other dishes but they look pretty good. Great Chinese noodle place in College Park! No parking except across the street in the plaza (paid). Not too many seats inside either so consider this before coming at a busy time, might be a wait.

The liangpi is amazing! Tastes just like what I've had in Xi'an province. Only gripe would be that the roujiamo could've been better. The meat wasn't as juicy as I've had and the bread could've been crispier but for the DMV I'd say this restaurant is pretty good.

Man absolutely love this place. If I'm ever near college park will definitely eat here. The only frustrating thing is they're not open on Sunday or Monday. But every time they are and we're here it's absolutely delicious. The soups are so flavorful and everything packs a nice kick. The appetizers are all great (at least the ones we've had) plus the rou jia mo. It's right next to UMD so expect some lines if you get here late.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the DMV. I highly recommend the beef noodle soup, cumin lamb burger, and the yanji cold noodles. If you've never had cold noodles before it might throw you off but it's worth a try. The food here is very authentic. It's a cozy little restaurant with quick service.

I have been eyeing this place for a while... it's been featured in Washingtonian's Top 50 DMV places to eat for at least the past 2 years. On an evening with no plans, I decided to finally give them a try! I decided to order online and pick up in person. For those who need to know, there are quite a few vegetarian options... but be sure to read the ingredients in the description. I was trying to avoid pork, and the red oil sesame dumplings looked quite appealing -- but I saw that the other dumplings had pork. I called ahead just to verify whether they had pork, and they verified that they did. I'm glad I asked -- the lady on the phone was very polite too! I don't think I ever had a Chinese burger (at least not recently), so I went for the Spicy Cumin Lamb Mo and hot oil-seared knife cut noodles, extra spicy. I ran a quick errand and then ran to the restaurant itself, which isn't lit up at night like some of the others on that row, but the inside was lovely!! There were a few tables where you could dine in, and they were all full when I was there. My food was ready and on a pickup table right next to the register. I would love to dine in there some day! I returned home, set up a TV show, and dug in. I liked the bread for the burger and the lamb was nice and flavorful! The noodle dish was quite enjoyable too. For dessert I got the sweet balls with brown sugar soup -- I never had it before, so I didn't know what to expect! It was a warm dessert that was presented just as it sounds -- there was a brown broth with five soft and sweet dumplings in them. All the flavor was in the balls themselves -- the soup didn't have much on its own... but a delicious dessert collectively anyway! I can't wait to go back!
